Rob Hall

Rob Hall led Sun’s global marketing and was responsible for market and business development as well as world wide sales in Sun’s fastest growing market, the financial service industry. Hall’s 20+ years experience in the computer industry spans international business development, large-scale management of government and commercial applications in addition to founding and running his own software company.
Rob joined Sun Microsystems in 1988. Among his first assignments, Rob was the Director of Sales for Sun’s Latin America Region, and later started Sun Microsystems Computer Company’s CIS operations based in Russia. As the General Manager of CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) operations, he assembled a world class financial sales team working with many of the CIS’s most prestigious customers, including the Central Bank of Russia and more than 100 private banks. Due largely to his successes in the financial service industry, Rob was Sun’s WW General Manager of the year in 1995. Rob earned his education at the University of California, Davis and the University of California, Berkeley.
