Dr. Ian Hodder
Professor of Archaeology, Stanford University
Dr. Hodder was previously a Professor of Archaeology at Cambridge University, where he received his PhD. Among his publications are The Present in the Past (London 1982), The Domestication of Europe (Oxford 1990) and Theory and Practice in Archaeology (London 1992). He is the author of numerous books on archaeology and is currently directing the excavation of the 9000-year-old Neolithic site of Çatalhöyük in central Turkey.
